SKK Illusion Unboxing and Initial Impression — 1.3GHz Quad-core Smartphone

Another affordable Quad-core Smartphone hits the pinoyscreencast bat cave and this time from the SKK Mobile brand they recently announced the availability of the SKK Illusion that we also discussed in the Big Time Show but apparently during the live streaming the units did not arrived yet. But here is my unboxing video for you to watch 🙂

The SKK Illusion is a 5-inch IPS Display with a 1.3GHz Quad-core MT6582 with a Mali-400MP GPU, although the ROM is just 4GB and a 512MB RAM during my initial test I was really surprised on how smooth and responsive the UI.

But let’s take a closer look at the Build and Design, basically it’s flat build form factor I got the color white and the screen has a thin bezel although with a black border once you open the it,at the top is the Earphone jack.

while on the right side is the volume rocker which has a metallic chrome looking texture which makes it really premium

on the other side is just the power button which also has that metallic chrome texture.

The back cover is really thin but not a finger print smudge prone glossy plastic with the SKK branding and the speaker grills

8-megapixel Rear Camera is in the center with the LED flash at the bottom of the camera, although the camera protrude a bit but not a big issue for me.

Bottom part has the Micro USB jack and the Mic pin hole.

Moving to the front has the 2-megapixel camera with the light sensor beside it but you will notice the top and bottom has some large space but, the three capacitive buttons Menu , Home and back button do not have a led light but has a reflective texture.

Over the design is really sleek and comfy a slim form factor with a Gold accent surrounding the edges which I really like 🙂

so be sure to stay tune on my full review and will give you a in-depth details if the 512MB RAM can manage all the processing and gaming test with the SKK Illusion.

My Initial thoughts so far I love the design it’s very bright has great viewing angles and the features are really interesting and the custom UI is really one of the things I need to consider which is very unique so far for a affordable smartphone like the SKK Illusion.
