Nokia Lumia 1020 Available on October 11, 2013 — Price ₱35,650
Finally the much awaited Super Camera Phone has landed in the Philippines the 41MP Ultra High Resolution Back side illuminated sensor Carl Zeiss Camera Phone will be available in Stores on October 11, 2013 with a price tag of ₱35,650.
Nokia Lumia 1020 is so far has the best camera out there on any smart phone.
Also with the 41mp Camera simultaneously it saves a 5mp over sampling right at the same time. so it means you will have a full high-resolution Still Photos and can do endless re-size/crop it as long as you want, without altering the Original Photo.
It is also equipped with a real xenon flash where comparing to other smart phones that they just use a typical LED flash, but take note that it has both xenon flash and LED flash because for video it uses the LED flash and for the Still photo’s is the Xenon Flash.
Oversampling 7 pixels into 1 perfect pixel
that’s why the details are very vibrant crisp and sharp, but not only on still photos they also combined it with there video with the new OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) from there previous technology where they only use one ball bearing but because of the 41mp they improve it with two ball bearings that’s make your video shots more stabilize.
As given a chance to ask question after the product demo, I raised the question on how thus it controls the light when it comes to videos? because usually on a typical Smart Phone or Digital Camera, you will notice that it usually base its overall light on the focal point of your subject so when you take a shot of a video and your subject has too much light on it usually the background will be dark but Gary Chan told us that on the manual settings you will have the capability on controlling it making your video footage balance in light so it means it will not change automatically like the typical Smart Phones that usually compensate on the light where the focal point is.
What I really like about Nokia Lumia 1020 is how simple the Camera Settings Interface is, with just swiping the Icon of the Camera/Video you will toggle the circular navigation where you can adjust all camera settings like ISO,shutter speed, white balance and many more you will get a visual feedback on how it will actually look on your output, but when you set the shutter speed to a higher number let’s say four seconds of course you will not see the result automatically when you adjust it until you fired the shutter button. How I wish DSLR manual settings is as simple as this one 😀
