Samsung to use Mediatek Processors in 2014
Chinese Website Digitimes stated earlier on report that Mediatek expected to enter the supply chain of Samsung in the second half of 2014.
MediaTek is expected to enter the supply chain of Samsung Electronics with its quad- and 8-core mobile processors in the second half of 2014
Mediatek’s selling points is their affordability, so Samsung might utilize those Quad-Core MT6589 and Octa-Core MT6592 for their mid-range budget phones, can this regain the torch for Samsung? especially here in the Philippines Samsung is really having a hard time on the mid-range phones because of the very low price but still high performance local brand phones like Cherry Mobile , MyPhone, Arc Mobile, SKK, Torque and the others
So what do you think? can we expect more budget phones from Samsung? or will you still choose the local brands?
