Earlier today, Xiaomi announced a new line of products and once of them is the slightly upgraded version of the recent Mi4i. They named it “Mi 4c” similar with apple’s iteration of iPhones.
But for Xiaomi C may stands for USB type C or China mainland but as far as we know it’s a slightly bump up Mi 4i, same build and design with some added hardware features like the new USB Type C reversible connector, Edge Tap feature where when you do a single tab on the side of the phone it can take a photo and double tap to go back to the previous task.
also a double tap to wake which we see on other smartphones. The Mi 4c can also be used as a remote control via infrared sensor.
But in terms of hardware Mi 4c is now equipped with a Snapdragon 808 1.8GHz 6-core 64bit processor with Adreno 418 GPU.
It’s also a 5-inch Full-HD Display with ultra thin narrow bezel similar with the Mi 4i. It uses a Sharp / AUO / LG custom display that also has the sunlight display feature and night reading mode.
while in terms of camera it’s equipped with a 13-megapixel Rear with Dual tone Flash using a Sony IMX258 and a 5-megapixel front Samsung S5K3M2 ISOCELL sensor.
but in terms of battery it’s packed with a 3080mAh non-removable battery but has a Quick Charge 2.0 technology.
Not only that this device is a 4G Dual SIM smartphone but we still need to verify if this will cater international bands.
It’s available in 5 colors (White, Black, Blue, Pink and Orange).
for the official price it will have 2 variants which are 2GB of RAM + 16GB Internal Storage cost RMB 1,299 roughly Php 9,500 and for the 3GB RAM + 32GB Internal Storage it cost RMB 1,499 which is rougly Php 10,900.
We still don’t know if this will be available in the Philippines but will keep you posted once we got leads regarding this device 🙂
