Using a carbon fiber premium material to ensure rigidity, also supports Nvidia and AMD optional Alienware graphics amplifier. the 15 uses the Intel i7 Core i7–4710HQ (Quad-Core, 6MB Cache, up to 3.5GHz w/ Turbo Boost) while the 17 has Intel Core i7–4980HQ (Quad-Core, 6MB Cache, up to 4.0GHz w/ Turbo Boost) , with a very powerful graphics card AMD Radeon HD R9 M295X with 4GB GDDR5 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M with 4GB GDDR5. Memory can be expanded 16GB Dual Channel DDR3 1600MHz and uses a combination of SSD and Hard drive.
Also included with the package is new Alienware Command Center 4.0 software suite includes updated — AlienFX, AlienAdrenaline, AlienFusion, Alienware TactX modules as well as a new Graphics Amplifier section.
