LG L40 Dual Unboxing and Initial Impression

LG recently launched their budget friendly or should I say entry-level smartphone one of them is the LG L40 Dual (D170) a 1.2Ghz Dual Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 powered, it got 4GB of ROM, 512MB of RAM but the Internal storage is only 1.54GB with a 3.5-inch 320×480 display. It comes with a Adreno 305 GPU, doesn’t have a front camera but has a 3-megapixel rear camera fixed focus without flash. Running on a Android KitKat 4.4.2

In the box comes with a headset with mic button, Travel charger with a LG logo embed to it with USB socket, the Micro USB to USB charging and data transfer cable, Warranty card, quick user manual, the Unit itseld LG L40 and the 1540mAh battery.

In front you will see the LG Logo and the 3.5-inch display, bezels are quite thick but it’s really compact and also comfortable holding in one hand.

The capacitive buttons have different orientations which the back buttons comes first then the home , menu and SIM card swith button , unfortunately it doesn’t have a LED light but do have a reflective sticker.

Left side you will see the volume rocker that has a chrome plastic texture, and the phone has a silver color surrounding the edges.

while on the right side is the power buton that also has that texture accent similar with the volume rocker.

top part is just the 3.5mm earphone jack

the bottom part has the Micro USB socket and the mic pin hole , this is also the part where you can pop-out the back cover.

Back cover has that carbon fiber texture which is really nice for gripability , in here you will also see the 3-megapixel camera and the LG logo branding in the center sad to say there is no speaker grill, which I conclude the speaker is the one in the front at the bottom of the earpiece.

Micro SD or the TF Card slot is located in side the back part in the lower right corner.

since this is a dual SIM Capable you will see it uses a two regular SIM Slot.

The build and design is really feels premium and solid since it’s very small but so far I didn’t have any issue on the size of it even when typing using the keyboard it’s pretty responsive but not as smooth as the other entry-level LG smartphones.

Since the camera is a fixed focus don’t expect to have a decent shot on a close and tight subject it’s great for wide shots but below average in terms of the output.

Will give you further details on this budget friendly LG L 40 smartphone. right now it cost Php 4,790 so lets see on my full review if this can perform for its price 🙂
