Guide: How to upgrade O+ USA convertible to Windows 10
As I mentioned on my recent video this is the continuation of my tutorial on how to upgrade the O+ USA convertible to Windows 10, I will show the whole process from doing a backup for the drivers then downloading the ISO file and creating a bootable Windows 10 installer via USB. so are you ready? let’s proceed.

- RUFUS — this application will create the bootable USB
- Double Driver 1.4 — this will backup and restore all the drivers from your device.
First is we need to download the ISO file of the Windows 10 using this method, as I mentioned in the video below I had an issue with my update that’s why I decided to do the manual way and I think also the safest way to upgrade your device.
After you have downloaded the ISO file it can either be 32bit or 64bit (Depends on your system requirements) we now need to create a bootable USB flash drive so we can install the Windows 10, of course your device needs to have a USB port in order for this to work also take note that this guide will work on any Devices since we will also backup all the drivers. Just be sure to use your driver not the driver file that I will be sharing later in this tutorial. the driver that I will share is just for backup purposes I highly recommend use your own driver coming from your device to avoid other issues of incompatibility for drivers.
Download RUFUS it’s just 808KB and open the .exe file
you will see this screen just follow what you see on the screenshot below for the settings.
for the USB Flash drive you need to have at least 8GB capacity for the Windows 10, then select the USB device , on the “Partition scheme and target system type” choose “MBR partition scheme for BIOS or UEFI-CSM” then for the File type choose “NTFS” and all the other settings are the default.
Next is to click the CD Drive icon so you can select the ISO file that you have downloaded a while ago once successfully selected you will see it in the status bar below and now press START to proceed. It will take around 20–30mins depending on your system so just wait for it to finish.
After you will now have a bootable Windows 10 Flash Drive that you can use on any devices.
Backup Windows Drivers.
Next is we need to download the Double Driver 1.4 this tool will help us backup and restore our drivers as easy as possible it’s a FREEWARE don’t worry.
Once you have downloaded it just open the application no need to install it’s a portable app. Look for the dd.exe and click backup then Scan current system.
As a default it will show the important Drivers that you need to back up and not all are checked, just ignore that and click Backup now.
It will prompt your to choose Destination location and the Output just choose the default and press OK and it will now backup your drivers and create a folder for each one of them.
(Optional) you can also select the create archive executable file if you want to create that
Once you have backup the default drivers that has been check go back again to the backup choices and check all the drivers this will be our second backup just in case our first backup might have problem, just being safe here guys 🙂
After doing the whole backup process you will find the default file of the drivers located in documents > double driver , in case you didn’t set a custom destination.

Installing Windows 10
Now the exciting part we will now start upgrading our system to Windows 10, to start with plug the USB flash drive that we created a while ago and look for the setup file and it will load the Windows 10 process. just follow the instructions and wait for several minutes it will reboot for several times and be sure to plug your device so it will not be interrupted once it start updating your device.
don’t panic if you find your device to be lagging after the installations since the drivers are not yet updated on the next step we will restore the drivers.
Restoring the Drivers
Once you have fully installed Windows we now need to Restore the drivers that we have back up a while ago, it’s very simple just open the same dd.exe file, it will prompt you to run it as administrator just proceed with that and click yes once loaded now press the RESTORE button then click “Located backup” it will prompt you to locate the location of the backup file in case you have customized the destination path just look for that and click OK but if you just use the default location just click the drop-down arrow and choose the driver that is listed there and you will notice it will have a default check on some drivers just click “Restore Now” and it will update your drivers.
If it asked you to install unsecured driver just install it.
Reboot your device after updating the drivers and if you think there are still some missing files do the same procedure but now check all the drivers so it will install it all back again.
And there you go that’s how easy to back up and restore the drivers plus creating a bootable Windows 10 USB flash drive.
